God's Command in Music
Ephesians 5:19 "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;"
Many Christians believe that God does not tell us what kind of music to listen to, but He does. They even believe that music is “neutral”, but it is not. The problem is that most "Christians" don't want to be told what to do, by no one. They were brought up in a strict home, went to church, was told what to do, and now they are rebellious in “almost” all areas of their life. One of the areas that most Christians go astray and rebel is in music. God created music for us to use to sing and make “melody” to the Lord. God has created us with voices to sing, regardless of how we sound. If we sing from the “heart” God is satisfied as long as we are singing the right type of music that is not overpowering with rhythm, or harmony. “Melody” is the key here. When the music was written doesn’t matter. If could have been written today, or a thousand years ago. There is good music that is written today, and if it’s good, it has to follow God’s plan. If music is bad, it is because it is unscriptural. This page will be listing good Godly Christian music that is pleasing to God according to His Word, our final authority. I will also be writing on other music topics. I also have an “Ungodly Music” page if you are interested in reading what the “Christian” world says, what they believe, where they are headed, and much more. Thanks.

Difference Between Hymns & Praise
|
| |
An old farmer went to the city one weekend and attended the big city church. He came home and his wife asked him how it was. "Well," said the farmer, "It was good. They did something different, however. They sang praise choruses instead of hymns."
"Praise choruses," said his wife, "What are those?"
"Oh, they're okay. They're sort of like hymns, only different," said the farmer.
"Well, what's the difference?" asked his wife.
The farmer said, "Well, it's like this - If I were to say to you: Martha, the cows are in the corn,' well, that would be a hymn. If, on the other hand, I were to say to you:
Martha Martha, Martha, Oh, Martha, MARTHA, MARTHA, the cows, the big cows, the brown cows, the black cows, the white cows, the black and white cows, the COWS, COWS, COWS are in the corn, are in the corn, are in the corn, are in the corn, the CORN, CORN, CORN,
then, if I were to repeat the whole thing two or three times, well that would be a praise chorus."
