Welcome to the Book Review.
I will be reviewing godly and ungodly books about different issues that are in our culture today. Some books will be some of the popular ones and some not so popular. Our Website takes a stand against all forms of false teaching regardless if it’s a movie, law, doctrine, book, or magazines. We stand for the Word of God and the doctrines that are taught therein. Regardless of what the Pope thinks, the President, the homosexuals, the NFL, the politicians, Oprah, Hollywood=Follywood, country music, Baptist, charismatic’s, New Evangelicals, the liquor crowd, the drug dealers, the porn crowd, the devil, anybody, we are going to stand against sin, and stand for the Bible.
Below the index there are a few Books with their reviews open for your viewing. You can also look at those in the index by clicking on them. Enjoy and take heed.

23 Minutes In Hell
This book was written by Bill Wiese a Christian since 1970 he says. First and foremost, this man does not believe that the King James Bible is the Word of God. He uses the KJV, and the NKJV. When someone is not settled on the Word of God being infallible, inerrant, inspired, and preserved, they are normally shaky on other issues as well, as we shall see. Bill Wiese certainly holds New Evangelicals (heretics) views in high esteem because he quotes them often in this book. Such as John Piper, John MacArthur, Franklin Graham, Charles Stanley, Billy Graham, Josh McDowell, Dr. Lester Sumrall, Erwin Lutzer, Dr. Richard Eby (also saw a vision of hell for 2 minutes), The Assemblies of God, Presbyterian Church, and others like them.
Bill Wiese says himself several times that everything he says about hell is found in the Bible, and that is all that matters. Here is just one quote, "What Scripture states is all that matters, not what I have to say," page 131. Concerning that I have to say, "Amen and Amen!" Mr. Wiese has given us nothing more than what the Bible has already given us. We don't need to read his book to find out what God wants us to know about hell. The Bible tells us that we don't need any other "revelation" from God to be perfect and complete. We don't need no other "revelation" from God to have the complete Word of God. God does not speak through dreams, visions, or revelations any more. He speaks through the Written Word of God that He has given to us to be complete in Christ.
Bill Wiese says that he has been a Christian for many years, and that I do not question. I do question his knowledge of the Bible based on the reasons noted above and his own statements stated below.
On page 96 he says, “I wanted to know if there was any person in the Bible who had an experience in hell.” He didn’t know about the story found in Luke 16 about the rich man who died and went to hell? Very basic.
On page 58 he says, “I had not wanted to tell anyone what had happened, and did not for three weeks.” If this was a real live experience of hell given by God, don’t you think God would want him to share it? That would be a contradiction of the Great Commission. The rich man in Luke 16 did just the opposite of Mr. Bill Wiese. Luke 16:27-28 “Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.” The rich man didn’t wait weeks, days, or even hours for him to want to warn others of hell.
On page 83 he says, “The fact is, truth is found in the pages of the Bible.” No Mr. Wiese, the Bible does not contain the Word of God (Truth), it is the Word of God, and it is Truth. John 17:17 “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” This is very basic Bible knowledge that is taught to a five or six year old.
On page 56 he says, “Suddenly I was in hell once more.” Not only did he say he went to hell once, but twice. The fact is, saved people don’t go to hell, and lost people do. 1 John 5:12 “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” If Mr. Wiese went to hell for any reason, it would contradict Scripture. The Bible says, “..never perish, but have everlasting life.” Never means never. Either the Bible is a lie, or Mr. Wiese is a liar, or Mr. Wiese had a dream and thought it was real, or God has changed his mind about who goes to heaven and hell?
On pages 33-38 he says that God spoke to him in an audible voice. God does not speak to man in a dream, a vision, tongues, audibly, but through the Written Word of God, and the Holy Spirit.
On page 34 he says in a question to God, “Why did you choose me for this experience?” He continues to rationalize why none of this makes sense by saying, “First of all, I’m a Realtor, not a Billy Graham, or Mother Theresa.” As most heretics they hook up with the Catholic Church or someone associated with it like the Pope or Mother Theresa. When Mother Theresa and the Pope doesn’t know where they are going when they die, and are trusting in communion to get there. They teach a blasphemous doctrine and lead others to hell. Yet Mr. Bill Wiese upholds such heretics in high esteem.
On page 33 after God tells him that some Christians do not believe that hell is real, he says, “I was amazed to hear that…” Undoubtedly Mr. Wiese has not been doing any evangelizing even though he’s says that he’s been a Christian for quite some time. It doesn’t take a Christian long to learn just in everyday conversation that people and Christians do not believe in hell being a real place.
On page 21 he speaks of a “momentary” relief that he experienced in hell. No where in the Bible does it tell us of any “momentary” relief from the torments and punishment that will be encountered while there.
On page 94 he says, “I have had several dreams from the Lord in regard to the Bible.” God has given us his perfect and complete Word until He returns. Nothing more, nothing less.
In conclusion, I believe that this book is a waste of paper and energy for anyone to read or purchase. Instead, pick up a KJV Bible and read what God has to say directly from men of God who where inspired by the Holy Ghost to write on the subject of hell. Then turn to Luke 16 and read a real live account of a man who died without Christ and woke up in hell. Or better yet read what the Son of God has to say about hell in the Gospels and in Revelation.

Mother Teresa-In My Own Words
Mother Teresa was written in 1996 by Jose’ Luis Gonzalez-Balado. This book is basically a book of quotes of Mother Teresa. This book as most modern books uses a perversion of the Word of God, the New Revised Standard Version. The author writes the introduction and quotes Mother Teresa on page VII as saying, “All she has done, in her own words, is ‘follow Jesus’ word.” Well this is a lie. She has not followed Jesus, but Mary the mother of Jesus, and the Roman Catholic Church. She has trusted in the communion as her way to get to heaven she hopes, not in Christ alone as her Saviour. Most of her quotes are blasphemous and unbiblical; therefore, I will not quote them all but just a couple.
On page 97 she says, “The Eucharist is something more than simply receiving Christ…” The fact is it is not receiving Christ at all. The Eucharist is the Lord’s Supper, or Communion. The communion is a picture of what Christ has done for us, just like being baptized. It is not salvation, the wafer does not become Christ’s body in ours, and neither does the grape juice become the blood of Christ in our blood stream as the Catholic Church teaches. Jesus himself said, “…this do in remembrance of me.” 1 Corinthians 11:24-25 “And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.” In remembrance is not receiving Christ as Saviour. When the Catholic Church (The Great Whore) takes the Lord’s Supper it is blasphemy.
On page 86 she says, “Jesus continues to live his passion. He continues to fall, poor and hungry, just like he fell on the way to Calvary….”
That is crazy. Jesus is setting at the right hand of His Father in heaven. He’s not doing any more falling on the ground. That was only while He was on earth. He has now ascended to heaven after he rose from the dead. Mark 16:19 “So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.”
On page 63 she prays to Mary saying, “Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it know that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly to you, O virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.” This once again is blasphemous. We are to pray to no one but God, and Jesus is our go between. He intercedes for us, on our behalf. Mary the mother of Jesus was a sinner just like you and me, she had to be born again by Jesus or she would have died and went to hell. She can help no one. She can answer no prayers. She can hear no prayers. 1 Timothy 2:5 “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;” No where in Scripture do we find anyone praying to Mary, so neither should we.
On page 30 she says, “We should not serve the poor like they were Jesus. We should serve the poor because they are Jesus.” Also on page 28 she says, “The poor anywhere in the world are Christ who suffers. In them, the Son of God lives and dies. Through them, God shows his face.” Mother Teresa lifts all poor people on the same plain as those who are born again believers, which is not the case. All poor people are not going to heaven and all rich people aren’t going to hell. Salvation is not based on one’s economic standing in society. Neither money nor poverty can purchase the “gift of God.” The poor are not Jesus, they are the poor. It is true that we should be kind, loving, friendly, helpful, giving, and supportive of those who are poor, but not because they are Jesus Christ in the flesh. We should have compassion on all of man kind who are lost in their sins spiritually, and not just lost physically. It’s fine that we help people with food and clothing, but what good is that if they die without Christ and go to hell?
In conclusion, many other quotes could be talked about here, but the fact is, this book is garbage. It is written by a heretic and about a heretic, both of which is lost based on their beliefs of salvation, which is contrary to the Word of God.

The Best of Charles Haddon Spurgeon
This book was given to me by my daughter, Hannah, for Christmas in 2007. She purchased it at a used book store for $4.20. As soon as she saw it she wanted to buy it for me. She was looking to get me something for Christmas and knew that Spurgeon was one of my hero's of the faith. I thank God that I have a godly daughter who knows the difference between a godly writer and a heretic. Who cares which Bible the author uses, their beliefs, etc. when looking for a book to read or purchase for someone. Most people just look at the title or the author in deciding on a book to buy for them or someone else. I thank God that I have a daughter who knows how to determine if a book is worth reading.
Now on to this review. This book was no different than any other book I have read by Spurgeon, it was awesome. This particular book was a collection of his very best writings and sermons. At least according to this author, or compiler. I would view that as an impossible task because of the vast writings and the richness contained in each. Be that as it may, the book contains several heart stirring sermons along with many writings from "Spurgeon Gems," "Feathers for Arrows," "The Treasury of David," and many more.
I would encourage any reader to purchase any book by Spurgeon; one will never go wrong in doing so. It will contain a well of life with each page that is read. Do not despair if you begin to read and the depth of Spurgeon's thoughts overwhelm you, just continue and you will grow as you catch a gem here and there. If you continue, before long you will be able to grasp all that he says.
Spurgeon said on page 233, "Many professed Christians spend far too much time in amusements which they call recreation, but which, I fear, is far rather a redestruction than a recreation. ...Whatever your soul is full of if it be not full of Christ, it is an evil case."
